Abstract: The irrational existence of "Yokai" has not disappeared with the development of science. Instead, it has been occupying an important position in Japanese culture. The visualization of Yokai is undoubtedly a turning point for Japanese Yokai culture. Inherited image of Yokai is so enduring that it has been recreated by artists of all ages. From Yamatoe to Ukiyoe, it can always be presented in a new image and a new way. Focusing on the image of "Earth Spider", the inherited Japanese Yokai, this article analyzes its image change and the development of the belief culture of the Japanese from a dynamic perspective, and on this basis, explores the practical significance of the existence of Yokai.
